Welcome to the Strong Families, Strong Children’s E-learn Academy! Our goal is to provide you with videos that will enhance your knowledge regarding military cultural competency. The work you do is very important to this community, and we are happy that you are here to further your knowledge in support of the unique challenges that come with being from a military and veteran connected family!
Access to the E-learn Academy is free for approved agencies in Orange County, California. Approval requires registration including identifying your associated Family Resource Center.

Strong Families, Strong Children (SFSC) is a community-based collaborative of five nonprofit agencies serving the growing needs of veteran- and military-connected families.
Child Guidance Center helps Orange County children, teens, and their families achieve healthier, better balanced lives through innovative behavioral and mental health services. Founded in 1967, CGC helps more than 1,000 children and families every week - including veteran and military-connected families - at four independent clinics, as well as at Family Resource Centers throughout the county. CGC’s clinicians and staff members have expertise in many areas, including attention deficit disorder, the autism spectrum, anger management, family struggles, and more.
Families Forward works with homeless families to find realistic solutions for sustainable housing and build individualized plans to return each family to self-sufficiency. A key factor for success is Families Forward’s commitment to collaborate with many organizations to end family homelessness in Orange County. Families Forward also reaches out to low-income families to help reduce the pressures that can cause homelessness and help them maintain their stability. Through various safety-net services, those at-risk are given access to assistance such as an on-site food pantry, counseling, career coaching, and financial and life skills education.
Human Options provides a safe haven and life changing programs to help abused women, their children and families rebuild lives. This non-profit organization also works with the community to break the cycle of domestic violence. Services Include:
Veterans Legal Institute (VLI) is a military-specific public interest law firm that provides pro bono legal assistance to homeless, at-risk, low-income and disabled veterans and active service members. The non-profit organization works to eliminate barriers to housing, education, employment and healthcare, and fosters self-sufficiency. VLI also advocates on behalf of its clients by providing community education and training in an effort increase awareness, resources, and overall protections to current and former members of the United States military.
